He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Mbuk on October 31, 1986, on Palm Street in Cross River State, Nigeria. His full name is Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk. Sadly, he lost both his parents and older brother in 2008. His father was a forester, while his mother was a school headmistress and disciplinarian.Iyanya continued to strive for success in spite of the tragic incident.

Iyanya attended a government primary school for his elementary education after receiving his early education at Qubi Centre Nursery School in Calabar.
