Champz Biography: Wizkid’s Son, Age and Champion’s Arrival EP

Boluwatife Balogun, better known as Champz, is the son of Nigerian musician Wizkid and was 14 years old when his debut EP, Champion’s Arrival, was released on 11 November 2025.

The project featured UK grime and hip-hop influences and debuted at number one on Apple Music Nigeria within five hours of its release, making him the youngest Nigerian artist reported to have achieved the feat.

Champz’s Early Music Career

Champz announced his intention to pursue a music career years earlier when he had told his mother about his ambitions.

His first EP attracted attention because of both the music itself and the enormous public interest surrounding the young artist’s family background. Releasing music at such a young age also placed him in an unusual position within Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

The project was received positively in discussions around his early career, although long-term success will depend on continued development as he grows older.

Champz and the Next Generation of Nigerian Artists

Streaming numbers and local chart performance can contribute to an artist’s revenue, but musicians must continue producing quality work in order to sustain their audiences.

At his age, Champz’s net worth is not public, and estimates about his personal finances should therefore be treated cautiously.

His early debut nevertheless demonstrates how young Nigerian artists can enter the music industry with significant attention from audiences, streaming platforms and entertainment media.
