Yulan Archaga Carias Biography: MS-13 Leader and Most-Wanted Fugitive
According to facts gathered by our team, Yulan Adonay Archaga Carias, also known as Alexander Mendoza and “Porky,” was born February 13, 1982, or January 21, 1982, under an alias, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
He rose through the ranks of Mara Salvatrucha, better known as MS-13, until he became the highest-ranking leader of the gang inside Honduras.
Make we look at the facts. U.S. prosecutors charge him with directing drug trafficking, money laundering, murders, kidnappings, and other violence. He is accused of arranging the movement of large shipments of cocaine into the United States and of supplying firearms, cash, and other resources to MS-13 members operating across Central America and inside American cities.
In August 2018, a Honduran court convicted him on conspiracy and related charges and handed down a long prison sentence.
The Prison Break That Put Him Back on the Run
But here is where it gets crazy. In February 2020, while he was being transported for a court hearing, roughly twenty armed men dressed in police and military uniforms stormed the location, killed several officers, and broke him out.
He has been free ever since.
On September 21, 2021, a federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York returned a superseding indictment charging him with racketeering conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy, and firearms offenses including possession of machine guns.
The FBI added him to the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list on November 3, 2021.
The U.S. Department of State later raised the reward under the Transnational Organized Crime Rewards Program, and as of mid-2026, the figure stands at up to ten million dollars for information leading to his arrest or conviction.
Archaga Carias is described as roughly 5 feet 5 inches tall and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He speaks only Spanish.
Authorities believe he remains inside Honduras, still running MS-13 operations from the shadows. Simple.
